Admission
In this section you find all the information you need to enrol in the programme of your choice.
The CB curriculum requires a good command of English. If you register for this programme, you are invited to an intake procedure, which includes a digital assessment and a personal interview.
Students over 21 that do not meet the admission requirements may qualify under the admissions assessment 21+ scheme.
Admission requirements Creative Business
Students who apply to our international Bachelor programmes must have a secondary school diploma at a sufficient level (comparable to the Dutch havo-diploma). A student is eligible to enrol in our international Bachelor programmes when holding one of the following diplomas:
- Bulgaria: Diploma za Sredno Obrazovanie
- Romania: Baccalaureate
- France: Baccalaureate
- China: senior middle school diploma and huikao (regional examination) certificate
- Germany: Abitur (Zeugnis der Allgemeine Hochschulreife) or Fachhochschulreife
- United Kingdom: a minimum of four GCSEs/IGCSEs at grade A, B or C AND two A/AS levels in six different subjects
- United States: high school diploma with college preparatory programme
- International Baccalaureate or European Baccalaureate Diploma

- HAVO diplomas "Oude stijl" (diploma 2001 - 2010). All profiles.
- HAVO diploma "Nieuwe stijl" (diploma from 2009). All profiles.
- VWO diploma "Oude stijl or Nieuwe stijl". All profiles.
- MBO diploma level 4.
All students, except students with a relevant Dutch diploma, must prove that they have good writing and conversation skills in English. If English is not your native language, you must provide a result from an internationally recognised test of English:

You may be granted exemption from the English language test based on your diploma. Read more information our language requirements.
If you do not, or not yet, live in the Netherlands, you can enrol via Studielink, after creating a personal username and password. You can create your account on the Studielink website. Students living in the Netherlands (including non-Dutch nationals) can enroll as well as apply for student grants and loans via Studielink (in English, Dutch and German). For this, you need a DigiD log-in code, which takes up to five days to obtain.

The programme is accredited by Hobéon, a member of the Dutch Council of Advisory and Consultancy Agencies (ROA) and affiliated with European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA).
All of the programmes at HU University of Applied Sciences are tested and approved by the Accreditation Organisation of the Netherlands and Flanders (NVAO).
All students living in the Netherlands applying for a full-time study programme not subject to selection must take part in an obligatory programme selection check. The programme selection check consists of an intake form and a matching day. Both are mandatory. Watch our information video. Please note: For the purpose of the selection check, students living in the Netherlands Antilles (BES and CAS Islands) are considered foreign students. The information relevant to this group can be found below.
For students living outside of the Netherlands applying for a full-time study programme, only the digital intake part of the programme selection check is obligatory. You are welcome to take part in an online intake with the programme coordinator, but this is not mandatory.
