Stijn Bollinger
Stijn Bollinger PhD works as a senior researcher for the Research group Speech and Language Therapy: Participation through communication. He is also a senior lecturer at the Institute for Law, with a focus on 'professional research competence' and Legal Empowerment.
In 2013, Stijn Bollinger completed his doctoral research into the development of the Dutch welfare state during 20th century and how this affected the identity of the Salvation Army as part of the Dutch faith-based civil society.
Since 2013, Stijn has been conducting research into so-called 'safe uncertainty'. Uncertainty is part of the learning process and working life that confronts today's student and professional in the field. Safe Uncertainty focuses on the ability to deal with this uncertainty in a productive manner in daily life. The aim is to develop (educational) tools in collaboration with various partners based on this research.
