Rob Heerdink
Rob Heerdink PhD has been Professor of Innovation in Healthcare Processes in Pharmacology since March 2017. In addition, Rob serves as Associate Professor of Pharmacoepidemiology & Clinical Pharmacology within Utrecht University’s Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
After obtaining his PhD in 1995, Rob has performed research into the effects of medicine use among patient groups for whom pre-registration research yields little information – e.g. children, senior citizens and people with a metal disability or multiple mental disorders. The research is based on input from practice and is consistently geared towards the further improvement of patient care.
In the Research group Innovation in Healthcare Processes in Pharmacology, Rob focuses on research into the broader context of pharmacological care. Rob Heerdink is author or co-author of over 180 articles in international peer-reviewed journals and has served as a second supervisor for over 25 doctoral candidates.
