Katarina Jerković-Ćosić

Professor

Katarina Jerković-Ćosić is a dental hygienist and clinical epidemiologist, looking for interventions and possibilities for deploying preventive care in a timely manner and organising it differently so that preventive measures actually reach the group that need it most.

Within the broader perspective of precautionary care and universal prevention, Katarina is committed to an interprofessional approach to screening, early detection and acquiring health awareness. The research group wants to provide a solid knowledge base and evidence in order to substantiate preventive interventions and to give an impulse to innovations in preventive (oral) care.

Katarina completed the teacher-training programme (HGZO) at VU Amsterdam and obtained her master's degree in Evidence Based Practice from the University of Amsterdam. She completed her doctoral research on task reallocation in oral care in 2012, at the Faculty of Economics and Business of the RuG.
